The North Star Blue Ox are a women's Australian Rules Football club based in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St Paul, Minnesota.
2017 brings exciting changes to women's Australian Football in Minnesota. With the reformation of an independent women's Australian Football club, we provide opportunities for all women to play our great sport. No matter if you are out for a bit of fun and some exercise or play for a USAFL national team, you won't find a better place to play, meet new friends, and have a ton of fun!
We train hard, we play hard but we don't take ourselves too seriously. Foremost, everything we do is to have fun. We exemplify the qualities of hard work, strength, and perseverance that oxen are known for.
We pride ourselves on a rich club culture where we spend a lot of time together on and off the field. We are a tight-knit but very welcoming group that knows how to explain the sport of footy to new and veteran players. Although the game may look intimidating, it is safer than rugby and fewer injuries occur in Aussie Rules than in soccer.
While primarily a women's Australian Football club, we welcome men seeking a club to join us.
Australian Rules Football. No Bullshit.
